Some animals tend to scratch themselves because of their nature, they actually have no skin problems as the real reason for doing that, and you must have passed through that state yourself. For dogs especially, Dermatitis means red areas on the face, dark spots or spots on the legs caused by the excessive licking, oily skin caused by chronic scratching. The best idea is for a vet to give your pet a medical prescription, as well as the guidance toward a place where you can purchase the medicines. The prescription is the best way to heal your pet. All you have to do after seeing the vet is going to a specialized vet pharmacy, and get your antibiotics, anti fungus or whatever medication the vet said you should get.
Preventing Allergic Dermatitis:
In order to avoid Allergic Dermatitis development on your pet, first make sure that you do not expose your pet to allergens. Clean up the house in a manner that dust and pollen do not exist. After you take your pet for a walk, clean the paws, so you can remove anything that might have been stuck there.
